Easy to install.... has a great trigger break at 4 lbs.

Stuck this bad boy on my AR-10 build and couldn't be happier. It's a little pricy, but it is perfect. It comes all assembled, just slip in the 2 pins. The trigger works flawlessly so far; no malfunctions yet. It has a crisp and repeatable trigger pull. Getting 1 MOA with a homebuilt AR-10 isn't anything new, but a good trigger like this makes it a lot easier.

Very crisp. Absolutely no creep. This is my third Timney trigger on a AR build. Very happy have had both 4 lb and 3 lb. installation very easy as well. There is a couple of very tiny like jam screws. Don't do this over carpet. If you drop one it is impossible to find.

AR-15 Small Pin Trigger Module, 3 lbs, trigger pull is great, reset is very fast and very easy to install. The one issue I could not get past. I ran 300 rounds through my Spikes carbine and the gun locked up. The hammer pin fell out because the set screws had loosened and one fell out and jammed up my lower receiver. Not a good situation if you life depended on it. I had seen several posts that recommended to not put loctite on any part of the trigger. My set screws are now installed with blue loctite and I added spikes locking trigger and hammer pins. I have yet to take it back to the range for another torture test but hopefully this will alleviate the issue. Otherwise it was great, but couldn't give a higher review than 2 after the trigger fell apart.

My Timney was perfect right out of the box and easy to install. I've been a LE armorer since 1985 so that may have something to do with it but I honestly believe that anyone with a little mechanical ability could do just as well. Mine is installed in an AR chambered for .458 SOCOM and went out of adjustment at about 300 rounds, At first I was disappointed but after calling Timney all is well. I got no static from them at all and was offered to either return the trigger or get instructions on adjusting it. Up to this point I hadn't realized that Timney has a lifetime warranty and I call that a win! I opted for the adjusting directions and I'm glad I did. While some might find making adjustments to tiny little bolts intimidating, I actually thought it would be just a little challenge. It really wasn't, took me all of about 10 minutes to get everything as good as new or better. If I ever have to do it again it won't even take me that long. Needless to say maybe but next time I buy, it'll be another Timney

installation can be tedious if not going in with a little patience.

working the 2 little screws on either side of the unit to create tension with the bottom; (since you don't used regular disconnect) is a bit of a task due to spring legs covering the screw holes. mount the screw on a magnetized allen wrench and tension the spring legs in to centre and then screw in. do not over tighten and strip screws.

rifles work great and no light primer strikes!

Received the first trigger in the mail. looks good, installed, very easing, checked pull weight almost 4 lbs, ORDERED the 3 lb. Sent it back, second one arrived, installed checked pull weight, little over 3.5 lbs. going to send this one back as well.

The edge of the trigger is very sharp and uncomfortable for your
finger, if you put pressure on the trigger with safety on it will drop
the hammer.

My wife bought me this triiger for my birhtday. It installed easily in a few minutes and fits nice and snug in the rifle. It broke clean at exactly 3 lbs. No creap or side to wiggle. The factory trigger I had in my SR-556 was breaking at 9.8 lbs and was horrible. couldn't get groups at 100 yds much under 2in. with this trigger I have 1/2" groups at 100 yds and my rifle is now an absolute dream to shoot. One thing that concerned me at first is the trigger itself is fairly long and it came very close to the bottom of my trigger gaurd but it is not an issue due to the short and crisp trigger pull and reset. With a trigger this good I my only issue having to much fun and burning through my very hard to come by ammo.

Fairly easily installation in my S&W M&P AR-15. Test fired multiple times without issues and then it started not releasing the hammer when the trigger was pulled. Pulling the charging handle and slamming the BCG seemed to correct it for a few rounds, then would pull the trigger and no hammer release. Maybe I just got a lemon from Timney, but I've had bad issues with their 10/22 Drop-in Triggers as well. Returned both and got the Volquartzen for the 10/22 and the Geissele Super Dynamic Combat for my AR-15. Both work flawlessly. Also purchased a second Geissele Super Dynamic Combat for another AR and have been extremely pleased. Beware the Enhanced version will give you a very light second stage trigger, candy-cane break. Bill Geissele recommends the Combat version for tactical/defense/target and I agree. You won't be disappointed. Plus Brownells return policy is second to none. Happy shopping and shooting!

I shoot practice with NATO 62 grain FMJ based on cost per round and got the 4.5# Timney to insure primers went off in all military hard primered rounds. Installed into a RRA lower myself with a bit of frustration due to super small top set screws. Installed; the trigger wedges the trigger pins with authority. At the range the difference was outstanding. No creep and groups improved. Mine is a protection rifle and run & gun was much quicker and the rifle "Feels" up graded. Glad I decided on this one.

I have this trigger in my S&W M&P 15 and also in my S&W M&P 15-22. Great trigger with no creep. Instalation can be a little tricky if you don't use a punch to get the spring out of the way of the threaded hole for the hex set screw. Installation is nothing that should intimidate anyone that can properly disassemble an AR-15. Several thousand rounds down range and I'm still happy. Plan on putting a timney trigger in my AR .308 build too.

Not at advertised pull weight, it's supposed to be 3lbs. It's pull weight is 3lbs 11oz. Very sloppy side play on the trigger. The CMC trigger is of much better construction and cheaper I would recommend using one of theirs. I will correct the issues with this trigger when I get more time thankfully this was for my personal rifle and not a customers. I do not recommend this trigger and I will not use them again.

We had been using these triggers in most of our AR's until we started getting returns due to trigger malfunctions at appoximately the 500 round mark. Secondary [@] go out of adjustment under normal wear and tear, fortunately in the direction that did not allow trigger to reset to primary when trigger was released; had it gone the other way the sound of automatic fire would not have been heartwarming. We have pulled all Timney triggers from our products and will not consider them as a vendor in the future.

First, I am not a gunsmith by any stretch of the imagination. Still, I was able to remove the old trigger, put in this one, re-assemble it all back, in less than 30 mins. The most time was spent trying to get the little locking set screws in and screwed down. Went to the range and couldn't be happier. No more grind in the trigger. Crisp, short, and clean. You will not be disappointed.

Installed this 4lb drop in trigger in a carbine that I built up on a DPMS lower and a Bushmaster upper. I messed around with two-stage after market target trigger that was neither smooth nor consistent. This one is. This 4 pound version is light enough to help your accuracy at the range and just right at four pounds to be safe as field gun.

Really easy to install, works great. Seems lighter than 4 lbs, but no complaints there. No take up, just crisp let-off

After looking into a few different triggers and their reviews I went with Timney and couldn't be happier. It makes the AR platform even more awesome!!! Who wouldn't want a AR trigger that feels like its off a 1911? Very simple to install with the directions. If installation is your biggest hang up there is a video on youtube that walks you through it. Follow along and you'll be done in no time. I'll be installing one on my second AR as well. ROCK ON!!!!

I HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS ON MY AR BUILD...BUT I WANTED TO KEEP IT A COMBAT RIFLE. I TRIED TO LIVE WITH THE ORIGINAL AR TRIGGER AND EVEN HAD A TRIGGER JOB DONE TO SMOOTH IT OUT. AFTER SHOOTING IT FOR QUITE AWHILE I FOUND MYSELF STILL BATTLING THE TRIGGER ON EVERY SHOT. TIMNEY HAS A GOOD REPUTATION SO I FIGURED "WHAT THE HELL". THE TRIGGER WAS SIMPLE TO INSTALL BUT THOSE LITTLE ALLEN SCREWS ARE A REAL PAIN IN THE [*] TO INSTALL....(MY HANDS ARE TOO BIG FOR THIS)..BUT ONCE INSTALLED THIS TRIGGER IS A DREAM!!! MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! FOR YOU POLICEMAN OR TACTICAL OFFICERS "DO NOT SELECT ANYTHING WITH UNDER 4.5 POUND PULL"!!! YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR FOOT OFF!! THIS TRIGGER MAKES MY RIFLE "FEEL" LIKE A FINE TUNED MACHINE. NOW IF I CAN GET SOME HELP WITH MY VISION...:-)

This Timney trigger was exceptionally easy to install - took about 5 minutes. Went out to the range and was very impressed with the crispness and consistency of the pull. Vast improvement over the stock trigger assembly.

Had a know-it-all at a gun show try and convince me that I should buy a Jewell trigger. Everything I read said that the Jewell was a bear to install and the Timney was a 15 minute do-it-yourself job. Well that wasn't entirely true, it took about 10 minutes. I installed it in my 6.5 Grendel AR-15. The Timney is awesome, a clean, creep-free break. The 6.5 Grendel is incredible, truly these two are a match made in Shooting Heaven. One thing, don't tighten down the set screws until after you've reinstalled the safety.

Just received my trigger today. Install was as easy as it gets. Put this in my cmmg m4le took a whopping 15minutes to install. everything fit perfectly and functions flawless. It amazing how much difference there is between this and the milspec trigger. Pull is light with fast reset near 0 creep also. As far as im concerned this is an absolute must for all AR type rifles. Well worth the price!!!!

I use My Ar 15 for target and hunting. And this trigger has improved my shooting. Installing is easy till you have to install the two hex set screws.(Work with me). have to push the wire spring thing out of the way with a pointy punch to install the second set of hex screws. follow the directions. I love this triggers. This is my second one.I'm gonna get my third when I get the money.

The trigger is easy to install and I ended up with nice crisp 3lb trigger pull which was a big improvement over the factory Bushmaster trigger.
The main problem I have with it is that my 22LR conversion will not work because the Timney hammer doesn't hit the firing pin properly.
Be careful when installing the allen headed locking screws, not to cross thread them and screw them in all the way in or the trigger won't work properly.

Perfect trigger for a precision AR. Dropped in my D-Star lower with DPMS lower parts kit with ease. I have no doubt it would work just as well with any lower / parts kit. LOP couldn't be any better, no creep at all. The two set screws were kind of a pain to install, but with some patience and good lighting it's not hard, anyone with basic AR knowledge can install it in minutes. DO NOT USE ON TACTICAL WEAPONS!! Way too light for that.

Installed this in my Colt A2 Hbar without a hitch. Had no sear block to contend with as mentioned in the install instructions. Factory trigger pull over 6 lbs. Now 3 1/4lbs on spring gauge. Module dropped right in place and pin install easy. Hardest part, and it really wasn't that hard, was installing the small allen screws that lock the pin set screws in place. Had to move aside the hammer spring end on each side in order to get the allen screws into the pin set screw hole. This wasn't mentioned in the instructions but was a common sense situation. You just looked at it and you knew what had to be done. This is all done from the top side of the module. 15 minutes tops, and I'm not a gunsmith. A quality piece.

This trigger came with pretty good instructions inside the package, and I followed them without a problem. It was necessary to hold the trigger spring out of the way while installing the locking nuts into the holes for the small pin retainers, but a simple screwdriver made easy work of that. Once the trigger was in I couldn't believe how good it felt. The pull from the original unit of my M&P 15 was one of the best from the manufactures, but this Timney made it look, and feel, really bad. This is by far the best improvement you can make to a AR to shoot more accurately. I haven't fired a round with it yet... but I'm already sure the difference will be astronomical. Great trigger.

A bit tricky to install, but once installed, I have no doubt that it will stay put. Very crisp, the proverbial glass rod breaking. The whole unit is beautifully machined. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, and I will be buying another for my other AR. My AR came with a 2 stage NM trigger, and the Timney blows it away.

I bought this directly from Timney, but Brownells has a little break on the price. It really is a drop-in trigger: you will need a punch and a lot of nerve, but the instructions are clear and it is a 15 minute job. This trigger has improved my shooting 150%, because I have a bit of tremor, or palsy, and it provides a stable, consistent shooting environment for me.

After reading the review by Spec5 and having the same rifle I wanted this trigger. After christmas I knew it was time to buy one. [...].I installed the Trigger Module in my S&W M&P 15-22. The part module was easy to install and the instructions were easy to follow. The TIMNEY trigger is simply better. The smooth pull and crisp let off are as advertised. This is a great product. With S&W 15-22's selling so well I expect many owners will want these trigger modules.

No noticeable creep and lets off at 48-50 ounces. The trigger I got has a reddish cast and not black as shown in the picture so it doesn't match the finish of the gun but that being said it is a great addition to my 15-22 and should be to any AR-15.
