Bought this for the extra space required when wearing all but the thinnest gloves. I installed on a Bushmaster rifle and you'll need a set of punches and a set of tiny hex keys to remove old and install new (Not provided). It is great fit, but then it is a Magpul.

I purchased this as I use gloves often when shooting. I, like another poster gave a little thought about the Plastic vs. Aluminum and the plastic won. I would take care installing this as the ear on the lower can break off if not supported correctly. I looked over a few videos where others had this problem. Support the lower with a padded block of wood and tap the pin in with a small hammer. Take your time and it will work just fine.

I resisted this change to my RRA lower because it was plastic but I came across a review that made me rethink my position. First rethink came when I read that the plastic unit would not scratch and lose paint and color as the aluminum would. Second rethink came from heat retention. I shoot in Oklahoma heat from 100* - 105* and the plastic unit just does not get as hot as metal parts do. Installed, the guard is visually more pleasing and is fantastic to feel and touch. I cannot imagine the force required to break the installed guard and think more than just that piece would be included in damages. I installed a Timney trigger and run the Ergo ambi-grip and this trio is absolute perfection for me.

Used the product as an upgrade to my
AR-15 triggerguard. Very easy to install, looks great. The rifle now has a very appealing look to it. I would recommend this product to anyone...my brother-in-law liked it so well he purchased one as well.

fit and works perfect on my LE Colt carbine. That just says it all.

MOE trigger guard looks really good but the tinny set screw stripped out and took a bit work to get it to screw in flush with the receiver. I will not recommend or use this trigger guard again.

[...] I installed the Magpul enhanced trigger guard on my Bushmaster XM15 M4 carbine. Install took less than 5 minutes and the fit and finish was perfect. Made from a very durable hard plastic that is going to stand up to a lot of hard use. Definitely opened up the trigger area for better access but very thick winter gloves will still be a tight fit. Enhanced the look of the weapon especially when combined with the Command Arms Accessories G27 pistol grip which I installed at the same time. For Bushmaster owners reuse your stock trigger guard pin because the one included in the kit is too large and will require a lot of force to drive in. For all users, it is easier to pre-form the internal threads on the magpul guard prior to installation by gradually turning the set screw in until it bottoms out.

A great, inexpensive way to give your AR a tactical look and still serve a practical purpose. Almost a necessity in the frozen north where I reside where gloved fingers is a must during the cold season. Installs in seconds. Literally.

I have the old metal one on my lower since they didn't sell this one when I built mine. I now install this whenever I build a lower for somebody else. Can't beat the price, it actually makes an AR look good, and it gives plenty of trigger room while filling the infamous gap. Make sure you buy this prior to starting your build as taking the old trigger guard out can be a pain in the rear. (Not difficult, just annoying) Get this one at the start and install it first.

Love this. The best thing is that it completely fills in the gap behind the guard. It always used to dig into my middle finger doing mag changes and this fixes the problem.

Easy to put on and takes care of the gap. Gives more room for gloved hands and feels stronger than the factory aluminum unit.

Have used numerous trigger guards that would allow me to use gloves and for the money this is excellent. Very easy installation and very good fit.

Very nice and American made. The only thing I would change is the tiny set screw supplied. Others on different sites are using a set screw with a head on it and it looks much better.

Installed a black one on my DSA ZM4 lower and a foliage green on my Spike's Tactical ST-15 lower without any issues. Can't beat the price and quality of this upgrade. Much nicer than the standard-issue trigger guard. Gloved fingers or large fingers should be no problem with this trigger guard. Another super item from Magpul.

Purchased 4 sets to put together some AR lower receivers. They appear strong and are considerably thicker than the ones supplied on lower parts kit. The curvature not only adds an appeal to the lower, but allows easy use of gloves. Also, it covers the little hole near the grip. I cannot see a need for the aluminum version that is twice its cost.[...] Great product option, Great price. Well worth it.

I got this one for my Bushmaster and a black one for my dad's Stagarms. Installation was just slightly more difficult than "bolt-in" but not impossible. This "plastic" piece is quite substantial and well worth the price savings over the aluminum model. Definitely adds to the X-Factor too!

Initially bought this to replace stock piece, thinking it would be lighter in weight. Since I am shedding weight on the M4 and figure even little changes add up. What a great part to put on, very easy install and definitely makes the gun look better. For the cost, can't go wrong with this part

The trigger guard fit well and is comfortable in use. The instructions are clear and the provided roll pin fits the lower very well. It is properly sized as opposed to the pin that comes with many parts kits.

Other than providing another accessory, this was very useful during a week long rifle school. We performed repeated tactical exchanges which required us to support the rifle with the primary hand while the support hand exchanged magazines. This piece simply made it more comfortable. The trigger guard ears don't dig into the primary hand middle finger. Maybe I just need to toughen up, but I still like it.

I really love this trigger guard. It really made my rifle look better and easy to get a gloved finger into. I have got several compliments. It was easy to install.

I purchased the polymere trigger guard and it fits perfect. The quality is better than the Magpul aluminum trigger guard and looks fantastic. Thanks Magpul and Brownells more than satisfied!!!
