I have used these cleaning jags for a couple of years. I have them in all of the gauges, and they are outstanding. Your barrel will shine like a mirror after you insert a patch with one of these. Excellent product, works just like you would want.

I purchased several of these TCS cleaning jags in several different calibers. They all work quite well except for the .22 cal jag. The "shank" on this jag is so short that you cannot put a standard .22 caliber patch on it and run it through a barrel. In order to make it work for me I have to cut a standard size .22 caliber cleaning patch down to about 2/3's it's normal size. Once cut down the patch will not interfere with the base of the jag and will pass through the barrel. This is not to say it isn't a very nice product, because it does work, but it would be much better if the stem on the jag would be longer. Thanks, Rick H.

I tried this as I needed a .401 jag. I REALLY like it. Will be ordering other calibers. Stays straight in the bore, puts a lot of patch onto the bore and works easy. Sturdy - hope the o rings hold up but shouldn't be too hard to get replacements.

Bought for use with my T/C renegade flintlock. Thought the barrel was clean until I used this, and I recomend it over any other cleaning jag I have ever used. One thing though - the package recommends use of a t handle on your ram/cleaning rod. Take this a gospel and not just a recommendation when using on closed breach black powder guns, especial when using heavy, aggressive cleaning patches.

I have looked at these before but figured they were just another snake oil gimmic and passed them by. I shoot lead in .45acp. Tryed the 44 mag size for my .45 and it was the perfect size. I use J-B Bore cleaner and J-B Bore Bright. These should be packaged with them. They work much better than my brass jag. I still use my .50 caliber brass brush combined with them. For solvent I use Shooters Choice MC#7 and if I have more trouble I use the Lewis Lead remover. The nice thing is you can reverse your stroke in the barrel as fast as you want which is what realy cleans a barrel quick. Used with the above I have never had a barrel cleaner with less effort. Haven't had a problem and worth the entry price.

This is probably the best jag out there, it just cleans the bore more thoroughly than any other. However, they are delicate. Do not let your action close on the jag while doing a quick cleaning, or hit the jag against the reciever. I've bent two so far, one while doing a quick clean of a Mini-14, the other a 10/22. Both of these rifles have no way to clean from the breech, besides a pull through, and both require a full field strip to remove the bolt. Also, they should put a point on the end to 'spear' the patch to prevent it from falling off while cleaning. This happens quite a bit if your rifle has a flash hider or muzzle brake.

Used this with my shotgun cleaning rod with just one, 2 1/2 inch diameter round patch at a time with the cleaner/degreaser spray by KG. When clean, I used 1 patch several times over to put Kroil inside the barrel. Cleaned the choke tube with just a couple of the patches and cleaning spray, then added oil. The round patch works better than a square patch. It's a round jag so the round patch matches best.

O my God, this is the best cleaning tool I have ever used, my shooting partner just gave me a demo with his 12ga jag, we cleaned 4 of my shot gun barrels in less than 20 minutes, I have never seen lead and plastic come out on a patch before. I shoot a lot of skeet loads and slugs and the plastic builds up and a brush will not get it out but this jag and JB bore cleaner got it right out. this jag is going to same a lot of money on brushes!!! I now own a full set, finaly got the copper out of my 7mm, have you ever seen copper on a cleaning patch? I have!!!!

I will never use another jag again after using the o-ring type. It really gets that patch snug against the bore for a thorough cleaning. Combine these with the heavy duty cotton flanner patches for best results! After I saw how good this product was, I bought one each for my .380, .45 ACP & 10mm handguns and they all perform to the same great standard.

This is the fourth of these jags that I've bought. They really do work. I just wish they have a point on the end to puncture the patch and hold it in place. Other than that, they do seem to scrub out more fouling.

I have these in 9mm, 10mm, and 45. The 9 and 10 mm have worked flawlessly. I have lost O-rings on the 45 and find they are very hard to replace. The Orings I can find that fit are smaller in cross section and don't fit as tightly.
For all of these, its a bit strange on the back stroke. If you take the patch off the rod after a single pass, the orings drag on the way out -- and thus the lost 45 rings...
You will also find that only the portion of the patch trapped between the oring and the bore does any cleaning, and the pistol jags have only two (not 3) o-rings.
More effective than stuffing a patch through the eye of a conventional jag.

I got one of these in 12 and 20 gauge. This is the best way to really clean a shotgun barrel I've ever found, especially if you shoot slugs and 00 buck shot. The fit is perfect with GI spec 30 cal patches. They keep pushing lead out, long after the barrel "looks" clean. I wish they had these in .410.

Previously I used an alumimum jag but had problems pushing the patch through tighter chokes. The O rings apply sufficient pressure at the chamber but compress to allow passage through tighter chokes. Great design!!

I just finished cleaning my 11-87 and I have to say it really works as described. It made the whole cleaning process much easier. I was tired of the slotted jag routine and decided to give this a try. Glad I did. I'll be ordering more of them.

I purchased this product after reading article on MAX-MUZZLELOADING web site. This is the best jag i have ever used, just thought i was doing a good job until i used this after doing my normal cleaning. I will be ordering some more of these differnt calibers in the near future.

Ordered 1 to try 22 cal. and some of the JB Bore cleaner that they told me would work great with the patch, and ordered from them the US Bore paste to try as well Used the jag and the JB and a patch, No brush. WOW I have never ever seen copper come out of my barrel this fast! works great, also use them to oil my barrel and remove the oil before I shoot. great product. used it to clean 9 of my rifle barrels in less than 25 minutes. They have never been so clean!

brought my gun into a gunshop in the town I live in because I could not clean the copper out of my bore and the gunsmith pull this thing out on a rod and cleaned the copper out in like 5-10 minutes, I had worked on the barrel for days trying to get theat copper out. found out he invented the thing. Upon receiving the jag, I pulled a "clean" shotgun out of the safe, wet a patch and ran it through. The advertising literature that comes with the jag states "the proof is in the patch". This is the truth, the patch from my clean bore came out pretty dirty. I've purchase one of these for every caliber I shoot.

I've tried these jags in several calibers, and they work very well. They cause a tight fit between the patch and the bore. Sometimes, on the first or second pass, they won't hold the patch when you reverse direction. Not a big problem; just push the patch out the other direction. Once the initial crud is out of the barrel, the patch stays on just fine. I now have one for every caliber I shoot.

Great product. Small enough to fit through even the tightest chokes (tight, but it fits), but the o-rings expand enough to keep it snug all the way from the chamber to the muzzle. It amazes me it has taken so long for someone to come up with such a great idea. Highly recommended for anyone who cleans a lot of firearms.
