Clamp-On Loop Lets You Attach Your Sling Where You Need It

Low-profile sling loop clamps to any MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny or STANAG 4694 handguard rail to provide a secure forward attachment point for the Magpul MS2 or similar clip-on sling. Can be installed on left or right side of top rail, or side or bottom rails for multiple alternate sling configurations. Loop is angled to resist snagging on other gear. Rugged, all-steel construction withstands up to 300 pounds of stress pressure, so it won’t fail under hard use.

SPECS: Steel, MIL-DTL-16232 manganese phosphate coated, black. 2" (5cm) long x 1" (2.5cm) wide. Projects 3⁄16" (4.8mm) from rail. 1.3 oz. (87g) weight.

Does what it's intended to do perfectly. (2011-05-15)

I bought this to get a solid sling attachment point that won't move around and maybe get my sling twisted or tangled. I mounted it at the front of my handguard on the left rail, the loop pointed up. It's very low profile and doesn't get caught on anything. It's simple enough and curves around the handguard. Great little thing. I use it both on my issued rifle and on my rifle at home for competitions. Nothing bad to say about it.

if you run the MS2 sling or do not have a regular sling ring on your front sight then this is a must for a 2 point configuration. light weight and easy to install and move.

Another Awesome Innovation From Magpul (2011-11-07)

I ordered this Magpul Rail Sling Attachment specifically for review for my fellow firearm entusiasts. I used this sling attachment on my newest AR-15 build. As always, Magpul never ceases to bring new innovative products to the firearms market.

Sling attachment has an excellent finish and is very high quality. It is very heavy duty and it shows. The sling attachment installs very easily to any part of your 1913 picatinny rail, by simply removing the allen screw. It works perfectly with Magpul's MS2 sling or any quick detach sling you may already have. If you would like to have a very high quality sling attachment that can be moved for different applications, then this is it! Highly recommended.

quality construction, rounded edges that wont snag. I like how the loop curves down to keep a lower profile as well. Nothing to not like about this unit.

Nice mount, but causes me a little greif (2012-04-04)

Its a good mount but when using it with quad rails my MS2 sling binds up between the other rails and the mount. Its really annoying and its marking up the gun. I have to move my front sight and use it on the top rail for it work properly. If the ring wasn't shaped inward it wouldn't be as much as an issue.

Simple, solid, does the job its suppose (2012-11-18)

Magpul's RSA is a neat sling accessory attachment that is fairly solid and does the job it is designed to do. It is easy to install and straightforward to use. I like to see the price tag reduce a little bit, then I will give it a five star rating. This part is a cast steel and not as costly to manufacture as a fully machined component. Overall quality is excellent but the exterior finish has some blemishes or spots possibly due to case hardening.

Not for rail attached to AR15 front sigh (2016-01-27)

Purchased in the hope I could attach MS3 sling to installed rail of front sight post on AR15A2 rifle. While the RSA fit perfectly on the rail and is well made, the RSA has a 45degree offset toward the rifle centerline. When a paraclip was attached it slightly blocked the left wing of the front sight post and became a distraction when aiming. It would have been great if it offset was in the opposite direction. I had to return it.

Very versatile sling mount (2018-09-01)

I bought this to use on my duty AR. Once in hand I started getting ideas. This is avery versatile mount.

I now use one on the 12 o'clock rail of my Steyr Scout rifle, a Ruger GunSite Scout rifle, and both my personal and duty AR rifles, and am buying more for my son's rifles.

It is rugged and places the sling in a very useful location.

A Must Have (2018-09-10)

Amazing product. Will not falter. Will not fail. It's as solid as the A2 FSP. Reading most comments, i notice everyone who complains about it are the ones who attach it on funky side angles. I'm almost positive this was specifically designed to be placed in the top rail. Hence it being flat and LoPro. And it angles the attachment point down to the side and away from front sight. Avsolutely no con's. You will want this on your AR15.

P.s. ignore the post by the guy that said you can attach QD mounts to this because you absolutely can not. Theres no circle input to provide such an application.
