Historical book...(2018-01-30)
This book is 95% historical. There is no any useful technical info for practical reloading. Maybe just something for entry level...
Worthless Update(2018-03-03)
I've always owned a Lyman reloading manual. The last one was the 49th Edition. I bought this hoping Lyman would update with the newer powders that are on the market. Very disappointed. I would say they used the powders and reloading data for 90% of the loads that were contained in the 49th. Not much new. If you are a new reloader then get this manual. If you already have the 49th, forget it. If you want to know the loads for the new powders you have to go to the powder manufactures' websites. Lyman changed the reloading pages for the 223/5.56mm cartridge. In the 49th Lyman had a two page section just for the service rifle data. In the 50th, they incorporated it all in one and you can't tell which loads are specific for the service rifle and what length barrel was used for the velocities.
